Partner program
Know Texas schools?
Introduce them.
If people at Texas schools already trust you, apply to refer them to Money Nobody Taught You, Teen Edition. Approved partners earn 20% of the school’s first-year license and 10% every year it renews. It’s by approval only: Paul reviews each application himself and takes on a limited number of partners. Simple terms, no fine print, paid by Paul himself.
The deal
Handshake-simple terms
Honest pay for honest work. These are the standard terms for approved partners. Paul confirms them to you in writing, by email, when he approves you, and they apply to sales made after that.
What that looks like
| School license | School pays | You, first year (20%) | You, each renewal (10%) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Founding school (first 25 schools) | $1,499 | about $300 | about $150 |
| Whole school | $2,499 | about $500 | about $250 |
| District, 3 schools ($1,999 each) | $5,997 | about $1,200 | about $600 |
Commission is figured on what the school pays for the license, less any sales tax included in the price and less any refund. Paperbacks and the 15-book set don’t earn commission. These are examples of the math, not a prediction of what any partner will earn.
Why schools look at it
A real need, and an easy way to try it
Every school and district decides for itself. Here’s what you can honestly tell them.
The timing
- Texas students entering grade 9 in 2026–27 or later must complete a one-half credit course in personal financial literacy to graduate (House Bill 27, 89th Legislature, 2025).
Sources: Texas Education Agency, Sept. 17, 2026 · HB 27 enrolled text - Texas is one of 30 states that now guarantee a standalone personal finance course for high school graduation.
Source: Next Gen Personal Finance live dashboard (as of Aug. 31, 2026) - Money Nobody Taught You is a story-based companion for teaching these topics, especially to students who don’t like textbooks. It isn’t a course and doesn’t replace one.
The product
- 15 illustrated story books for teens, one plain money rule each, from inflation and credit to debt, scams and retirement accounts. Practical stuff that helps a young person stand on their own.
- Respects teachers’ time: about 10 minutes a day of read-aloud, a guide with a page per book, no prep.
- TEKS alignment map available on request: books and workbook mapped to the Personal Financial Literacy and Economics course (§113.76), gaps included.
- Free to look at: the first two chapters of every book, plus free teacher and principal toolkits (guides, letters, summaries, quiz scorer).
- Free first classroom with a one-time access code, so a teacher can try it with real students before the school buys anything.
- Straight pricing: one school year per license, no auto-renew unless the school picks it, sales tax included in the listed price, no hidden fees. Card checkout, or a purchase order or invoice by email.
Who it’s for
Neighbors who already help local schools
You don’t need to be a salesperson. Most of the work is an introduction to people who already know you.
- Curriculum sales reps and rep agencies who call on Texas campuses and districts.
- Education consultants who work with Education Service Centers and districts.
- Credit unions and banks that already run financial-literacy programs in local schools.
- Financial-literacy nonprofits active in Texas schools.
- Retired teachers, counselors and administrators who still know who makes decisions in their district.
- Others with real relationships at Texas schools and a reason to care about teens and money.
Paul approves a limited number of partners, so not everyone who applies will be accepted. That isn’t a judgment of you. He can only pay so many people well.
How it works
Four steps
Apply
Fill in the short form below. Paul reviews every application personally and replies by email. Spots are limited, and he may say no.
Get approved in writing
If it’s a fit, Paul emails you the terms, your code and your link (for example mntyedu.com/?ref=YOURCODE). Commission starts with sales made after that email.
Introduce schools
Share your link with the people you know. They can preview the books, use the free toolkits and try one classroom free.
Get paid
When a school you introduced buys after you’re approved, by card or purchase order, the sale is credited to you. Paul pays monthly once it clears the 30-day hold.
Plain dealing
What Paul asks of partners
- Wait for Paul’s approval email before you share a link or speak for the program.
- Be straight with schools. Quote the prices on mntyedu.com and don’t promise results.
- Let schools know you’re a referral partner.
- No spam and no pressure. Schools and districts make their own choices.
- Don’t claim endorsements or approvals the program doesn’t have.
- Send pricing, contract and support questions to Paul.
Who’s behind it
Paul Blankenburg
Paul is a Texan: a former oilfield instructor who taught young adults, and a frac mechanic in Fort Worth. He writes about money the way he fixes a pump: plain and useful. He wrote these books to teach teens to earn, save, stay clear of debt traps and stand on their own feet.
He runs the partner program himself. You deal with Paul, not a call center.
Can anyone be a partner?
No. The program is by approval only. Paul reviews every application personally and takes on a limited number of partners, because he pays every commission himself. Applying doesn’t make you a partner, and Paul may say no.
When does commission start?
Only on sales made after Paul approves you and confirms the terms to you in writing, by email. Sales made before that, or through a code Paul didn’t issue, don’t earn commission. Please don’t share a link or speak for the program until you have that email.
Can a partnership end?
Yes. Paul may decline any application and may end any partnership. You can step away any time too. Either way, it’s done by email. Once it ends, your link stops earning, renewals included. Commission already earned on sales made while you were approved is paid under the normal terms, unless that money is refunded.
What is the product?
Money Nobody Taught You, Teen Edition is 15 illustrated story books for middle and high school, one plain money rule per book: currency, inflation, credit, interest, banks, taxes and paychecks, pricing and pay, debt, insurance, investing, the stock market, scams, downturns, retirement accounts and wills. A school license includes the full books plus teacher guides, a student workbook, a short before-and-after quiz, a class scorer that prints a one-page principal report, a parent letter and printable worksheets. About 10 minutes a day of read-aloud, no teacher prep. No student data is collected.
What grades and standards does it fit?
Middle and high school. The topics fit common personal-finance standards (saving, interest, credit, inflation, banking, scams). A TEKS alignment map (books and workbook mapped to the Personal Financial Literacy and Economics course, 19 TAC §113.76, including where the gaps are) is available from Paul on request, so a school’s curriculum staff can check it against their own plans.
Do I have to sell, or just introduce?
Just introduce. Once you’re approved, share your link and the partner sheet, point people to the free previews and toolkits, and mention that the first classroom is free. Paul answers the school’s questions, handles invoices and purchase orders, checkout, access codes and support. There’s no quota.
How are sales tracked?
When Paul approves you, he gives you a code and a link like mntyedu.com/?ref=YOURCODE (it works on any page of the site). When someone at a school opens your link, their browser remembers your code for 90 days, and the Buy buttons carry it into the Stripe checkout. The sale shows up in Paul’s records with your code on it. Only codes Paul has issued and that are active earn anything.
What if a school buys without my link?
It happens: people forward emails or type the address. Email Paul when you introduce a school, or have the school mention your name when it orders (or on its purchase order). Paul credits the sale to you by hand.
How long does attribution last?
90 days from the last time someone at the school opened your link. If two partners introduce the same school, the credit goes to the partner whose link the school used, or, without a link, to whoever told Paul about the school first. Once a school is credited to you, its renewals stay with you while you remain an approved partner.
Do renewals really pay every year?
Yes. You earn 10% each time the school renews, whether it chose auto-renew or buys again the next school year, for as long as it keeps renewing and you remain an approved partner.
Is there a cap?
No. Once you’re approved, there’s no cap on the number of schools you can introduce or on what you can earn from them. What’s limited is the number of partners.
How and when do I get paid?
Paul pays partners himself, once a month, by check, ACH bank transfer or PayPal, your choice. A sale becomes payable 30 days after the school’s payment clears, to allow for refunds and disputes, and goes out in the next monthly payout with a short statement listing the schools and amounts.
What about refunds and chargebacks?
No commission is paid on money a school gets back (refunds or chargebacks). The 30-day hold is there so this rarely comes up after you’ve been paid; if it does, Paul will tell you and settle it out of the next payout.
Does it cost anything to apply?
Nothing. No fee, no kit to buy, no quota.
Is it exclusive? Is there a territory?
No exclusivity and no assigned territory. Paul is focused on Texas schools and approves a limited number of partners; people elsewhere in the US can still apply. Approved partners can keep representing other products.
Can I offer a school a discount or special price?
No. Only Paul sets prices. Please quote the prices listed at mntyedu.com/buy, and send any pricing question to Paul.
What about purchase orders and invoices?
Many schools pay by purchase order. The school emails Paul at blankenburg6@gmail.com, he sends an invoice, and you’re credited the same way once it’s paid. Just make sure your name is on the email or the PO.
Who handles support and delivery?
Paul does: checkout, access codes, invoices, questions from teachers and principals, and replacement copies. You won’t be asked to provide support.
What materials do I get?
Your link and code, the one-page partner sheet (PDF), free previews of all 15 books (cover and first two chapters, no login), the free teacher and principal toolkits at mntyedu.com/toolkits, and Paul on email.
What about taxes?
Partners are independent, not employees, and are responsible for their own taxes on what they earn. Paul may ask US partners for a Form W-9 before paying, and may send a Form 1099 when payments reach the IRS reporting threshold. This isn’t tax advice; ask your tax preparer.
Can the terms change?
If Paul ever changes the standard terms, he’ll tell approved partners in writing ahead of time. Sales already made keep the terms they were made under.
